In 1990 Rikki Stiltner graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of Science Degree in Art Ed. Rikki was an active member of the Pittsburgh Society of Artist by invitation while living in Pennsylvania.
In 1994 Rikki moved to Monument Colorado, in the Pikes Peak region. Inspired by the landscape Rikki often painted on location, capturing the tranquil moments of light and shadows along the folds of the mountains. Her paintings of these landscapes now belong to local businesses and private collection in Colorado.
In 1996 Rikki met a regional artist, Irmgard Knoth, and joined her at Heritage Art Studio as a full-time artist, and in 1998 Rikki and Irmi joined with others in the vision for a Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts in Palmer Lake, Colorado.
Rikki moved to Pensacola Florida in 2008. She was accepted into the Quayside Art Gallery, a co-op of 138 members. During her residency, she taught art classes at the Blackwater Heritage trail by acceptance of A proposal to the Florida Parks and Recreation to use the building for the purpose of providing art classes to the community.
Rikki is a Portrait and landscapes Artist who works with various painting mediums. She describes herself as a realist with some impressionistic tendencies, which she terms “Romantic Impressionism “.
Rikki feels that every painting is a discovery of a deeper meaning, and every painting process reveals much more than the original intention.
Rikki’s paintings are in private collections in Eastern Colorado, North Carolina, Spring Valley New York, Florida; and in Western Pennsylvania, in private and cooperate collections.
